We are delighted to share some exciting news: Ants on Track has been awarded the Best Startup Prize at EmprendeUNED 2026, an entrepreneurship competition organised by UNED (Spain’s National University of Distance Education).
This recognition means a great deal to us, as it acknowledges something we have believed in since the beginning: that travelling by bike or on foot is one of the best ways to discover a country, its landscapes, its people and its culture.

A different way to discover Spain
At Ants on Track, we specialise in self-guided cycling and walking holidays across Spain, creating routes that take travellers beyond the usual tourist destinations.
Our philosophy is simple: we believe that the journey itself is just as important as the destination.
Whether cycling through the olive groves of Andalusia, exploring historic villages or following ancient pilgrimage routes, we want our travellers to experience Spain at their own pace, with the freedom to stop, explore and enjoy the places they discover along the way.
We also believe that tourism can play a positive role in rural communities. By working with local hotels, restaurants and service providers, we aim to contribute to the economies of the places our routes pass through, while encouraging a more sustainable and responsible way of travelling.
Recognition for our work
The EmprendeUNED awards recognise entrepreneurial projects for their innovation, viability and potential impact.
Receiving the 2026 Best Startup Award, which recognises our approach to sustainable cycling and walking tourism, is a wonderful encouragement to continue developing new routes and improving the experiences we offer our travellers.
Although Ants on Track is not a newly established business, we continue to approach our work with the enthusiasm and curiosity of a startup, always looking for new ideas, new destinations and better ways to travel.
Thank you!
We would like to thank UNED, the EmprendeUNED organisers and everyone who has supported us along the way.
And, of course, a very special thank you to all our travellers and partner agencies who have placed their trust in Ants on Track over the years.
This award encourages us to keep doing what we love: helping people discover the extraordinary diversity of Spain, one pedal stroke or one step at a time.
See you on the road!
The Ants on Track Team
