Our aim is to offer tourism with a minimal impact on our planet. We love travelling and discovering new cultures, people, and traditions, but always with a strong commitment to sustainability and environmental care. Cycling and walking holidays naturally have a low carbon footprint, although some of our operations, such as luggage transfers, still generate emissions that we aim to compensate.
For this reason, we compensate our emissions by collaborating with CeroCO2 http://www.ceroco2.org and Climeworks https://climeworks.com, supporting carbon removal and reforestation projects — especially in rainforests where urgent action is required.
Like the ants we are named after, we take care of our environment. We encourage our clients — our “ants” — to travel to Spain using more sustainable alternatives to flying whenever possible. Travelling by train is a great option, and we are happy to help by providing detailed information about the European railway system.
For those who must fly, we recommend offsetting the carbon footprint of their flights through Climeworks https://climeworks.com or MyClimate http://www.myclimate.org.
In addition, we continuously work to reduce our emissions as much as possible. Our “anthill” (office) operates with solar panels and an aerothermal heating system, and all the electricity we consume comes from renewable energy sources.
Ecotourism and sustainable holidays in Spain are our goal. Working together, like organised ants, we can achieve it.
At Ants on Track we believe that travel should contribute positively to the places we visit. Our cycling and walking holidays are designed to promote low-impact travel, support local communities and respect natural environments.
